WatchGuard now has released the capability for AuthPoint to be on a time schedule! This will allow administrators to configure time constraints on Authentication Policies. This could be extremely useful for access that companies only want accessible during work hours. This could relate to Office365 authentications, VPNs, domain logins for work-from-home users, etc.
How to Configure a Time Schedule
While you are within WatchGuard Cloud, navigate to Configure > AuthPoint, then to Policy Objects.
While within Policy Objects, you can select the drop down in the top left and select Time Schedule.
After you select Add Policy Object, you will be able to configure the settings for your particular environment. Here, we have set this to be for Office365 Authentications during work hours only. Please note that these timeframes are in 24-hour time.
From here, you can navigate to Authentication Policies, which is located in Configure > AuthPoint as well. You can add the time schedule policy object that we created to the field specified for it:
Once you hit save, you have successfully added the time schedule to your authentication policy related to the types you want to limit with a schedule!
